CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was shot in Uptown Monday night.

Around 7:20 p.m., the man was in the 100 block of West Wilson Avenue when he was shot in the buttocks, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, which appears to be gang related.

It was the second shooting in Uptown in less than eight hours. Around noon, a 23-year-old man was shot in the 4700 block of North Clarendon Avenue, police said.
