CHICAGO — A 36-year-old man was killed during a shooting in Heart of Chicago Sunday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., the man was in the 2100 block of West 19th Street when he was shot in the back of his head, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Officers responding to shots fired in the area found the man unresponsive in the street. The man, who is gang affiliated, was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Sedevic said.
