LITTLE ITALY — For those turning 65, a program at the Roosevelt branch of the Chicago Public Library could help you understand Medicare.

The presentation, part of the Money Smart public awareness campaign, is at 2 p.m. Oct. 23.

It will "cover eligibility, enrollment and the benefits of Medicare Parts A and B and the standardized Medicare Supplement Plans available in Illinois," the library's website says.

It could also help seniors that are on Medicare but losing group retiree benefits or caregivers for those on Medicare.

The program is being presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, a Money Smart partner at the library at 1101 W. Taylor St.
