CHICAGO —A 28-year-old man was charged with the murder of a 27-year-old man in Englewood back in March.

Police said Aaron Smith, 28, of the 6500 block of South Washtenaw Avenue, brutally beat another man earlier this year on March 26. Police found the man unresponsive in the 7000 block of South Vincennes Avenue around 1:35 p.m. that day.

The 27-year-old man, who was found battered and unresponsive in the street was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition from blunt force trauma to his head. He succumbed to his injuries on April 3, police said.

The man was identified as Anthony Morris, of Jackson, Tennessee, according to the Cook Count Medical Examiner's Office.

Smith is expected in bond court Tuesday.
