CHICAGO — A child was badly injured Saturday afternoon after being struck by a car, fire officials said.
The child, who gender and exact age were unknown, was hit by a vehicle in the 4900 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue about 3:40 p.m., said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.
The child, who is younger than 15, was taken in critical condition to Comer Children’s Hospital, Langford said.
