ARMOUR SQUARE — The Chicago White Sox have restarted sales of commemorative bricks that can personalized and placed prominently outside of U.S. Cellular Field.

The bricks were originally installed in 2008 as part of the construction of "Championship Plaza," an area outside of the park's main entrance commemorating the team's 2005 World Series win.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the victory, the team is making available a limited amount of bricks for inclusion in the plaza — a great way to permanently honor the Sox fan in your life, the team said.

A number of size and price options are available. There are $4,000 granite bricks on the base of the "Championship Monument," $500 bricks that'll be installed around the baseline of the project and "plaza bricks" to be scattered throughout the plaza that come in two sizes: the 4-by-8 at $195 and an 8-by-8 at $350.

The bricks can be personalized with engraved inscriptions. Sox logos can also be etched on most bricks for an additional $50 charge, but that means you get less lines of text.

The team has set up a special website for fans to check out examples as well as design their own bricks and preview the finished product before ordering.

Team officials say each order will include a replica brick, along with an official paper acknowledgement of the brick's inscription. Display cases and additional replica bricks are also on sale.

Orders must be placed by Nov. 3 to receive the replica brick and team acknowledgment in time for the holidays. Supplies are limited and orders are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

The commemorative bricks will be installed sometime next spring and those who've placed an order will receive a map to find their brick.

Proceeds from the sales are headed to Chicago White Sox Charities, which sponsors health and wellness, education and educational programs throughout the city.
