UPTOWN — Looking for something to cure the case of the Mondays?

Barrel Of Monkeys is bringing Chicago's Weird Grandma back to the stage on Monday nights.

The theater ensemble that works with underserved students in Chicago is teaming up with some of Chicago's performing arts companies for its third go at Chicago's Weird Grandma.

The show directed by Jason Sperling will play Mondays at 8 p.m., from Oct. 27 to Dec. 1, at the Neo-Futurist Theater on 5152 N. Ashland Ave.

In a news release, the company said each week a new guest company will perform stories written by CPS students. Companies including The Hypocrites, Lookingglass Theatre, Neo-Futurists will bring the work to life using sketch comedy, music, dance and other disciplines.
