HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Art Center will convene an assembly of historians, artists and former staff on the art center’s 75th anniversary.

Current Executive Director Kate Lorenz will be joined by her predecessor, Chuck Thurow, who moved the art center into its current space at 5020 S. Cornell Ave. to talk about the history of the space.

Historian Neil Harris of the University of Chicago and filmmaker Brian Ashby, who recently finished a documentary on the imagist movement that came out of the art center, will join Lorenz and Thurow for the discussion.

The discussion will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the art center.
