HYDE PARK — The author of a new book about how the Internet is changing former communist strongholds will talk about her visits to Cuba, Russia and China on Tuesday at the International House.

Former New York Times editor Emily Parker’s new book, “Now I Know Who My Comrades Are,” reports on how bloggers and new platforms online are changing politics in former communist states.

She will read from her book at 6 p.m. and answer questions at International House, 1414 E. 59th St., on the University of Chicago campus.
