Semi Driver Who Hit Cyclist in McKinley Park Sought By Police

CHICAGO — Police are asking for help in finding a semi-truck driver who hit a 47-year-old cyclist and drove off Tuesday afternoon in McKinley Park.

Around 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, a semi-truck heading south on Ashland Avenue near the 3600 block struck someone on a bicycle before driving off, police said.

The cyclist was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Officers described the truck driver as a white man in his 30s with a slender build. The man had blonde hair and a short, clean-cut beard. Anyone with information on this accident is asked to call detectives at 312-745-4521.
