ENGLEWOOD — A South Side entertainment center is celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering free admission for skating and bowling.

Free admission is being offered from 6-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Park & Family Entertainment Center, 1219 W. 76th St., as long as you wear something pink, said Tuneasha Taylor, general manager of the center.

If not, admission is $2.

The offer does not include skate rentals or bowling shoes and games, although the first bowling game is free.

According to Taylor, the center does something every October to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Last year the center offered free bowling games to those who wore something pink.

"Five years ago we lost a staff member to breast cancer," Taylor said. "Breast cancer is something very personal to us."
