CHICAGO — A 16-year-old was fatally shot in South Shore Tuesday night.

Around 5:45 p.m., the teen was in the 7300 block of South South Shore Drive when someone opened fire, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was struck in his back and buttocks and taken to South Shore Hospital in critical condition. He later died.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Camerion Blair of the 2600 block of East 73rd Street. He was pronounced dead at 6:25 p.m.

No one is in custody for the shooting, which appears to be gang-related, Sedevic said.
