CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was fatally shot Monday night in Homan Square, police said.

Around 10:55 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 900 block of South Lawndale Avenue and discovered a 25-year-old man shot multiple times in his head lying in the alley, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene and no one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said.

He was identified as Stanley Macon Jr. of the 2700 block of West Washington Boulevard, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
