WEST LOOP — Noodle enthusiasts have one chance left to buy tickets to the inaugural Ramenfest on Nov. 8.

Those interested in attending chef Bill Kim's festival at Urbanbelly, 1400 W. Randolph St., should sign up for the waiting list at ramenfestchicago.com.

On Wednesday, those on the list will get an email one hour prior to the start of ticket sales. It's first click, first served.

Tickets are $65. The initial batch of $45 tickets sold out this summer.

Admission includes one drink and a sample of each chef's riff on ramen — 27 choices in all.

Chefs who'll be dishing up bowls include experienced ramen practitioners like Matthias Merges of Yusho and Frederick Despres of Arami. Expect non-traditional noodles from the likes of Erling Wu-Bower of Nico Osteria, Trenchermen's Patrick Sheerin, Heather Terhune of Sable Kitchen and the team at Honey Butter Fried Chicken.

A spokeswoman for the event wouldn't say how many tickets will be released Wednesday, only that 300 people are expected to attend. She said there also will be some ticket giveaways on Urbanbelly's Twitter and Facebook pages.

Part of the proceeds from the fest will benefit Common Threads, the charity started by chef Art Smith that brings healthy cooking programs into schools.
