Two Questioned in Fatal Woodlawn Stabbing

CHICAGO — Police are questioning two people in connection to a fatal stabbing in Woodlawn Saturday afternoon.

About 3 p.m., officers responded to a domestic incident in the 6500 block of South Minerva Avenue.

A 20-year-old man was stabbed and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was prounounced dead at 4:17 p.m., authorities said.

He was identified as Leroyce Noel, of the 7100 block of South Mozart Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said. An autopsy determined Noel had been fatally stabbed in the chest.

Area Central detectives are investigating, police said.
