ENGLEWOOD — The 15th annual Englewood Jazz Festival will honor jazz musicians Ari Brown and Robert Shy, and Carol Adams, president and CEO of the DuSable Museum of African American History, for their community service with the Spirit of Jazz Award.

The free outdoor event runs from noon-6 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton Park, 513 W. 72nd St., and the Spirit of Jazz Award will be presented at 3:45 p.m.

The nonprofit Live the Spirit Residency is sponsoring the festival. In case of bad weather, the festival will be moved inside the park's field house.

The event features a host of jazz performers, such as Marquis Hill Blacktet; Ernest Dawkins featuring Jummane Taylor and Justin Thoma with special Guest William Parker; Denise Thimes; Live the Spirit Big Band; and Chico Freeman.
