CHICAGO — An 8-year-old boy was accidentally shot in his face Wednesday night in Auburn Gresham when two relatives were arguing over a gun near him and the gun went off, police said.

The domestic dispute happened around 8:42 p.m. when the three were gathered in the 7700 block of South Loomis Street. The 8-year-old was grazed in the face and transported to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The boy was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said.
