Man Riding Bike Critically Wounded in Rogers Park Shooting

CHICAGO — A man was critically wounded in a Rogers Park shooting Saturday evening. 

Around 9:05 p.m., the man, 22, was riding his bike on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of West Morse Avenue when someone from a passing gray sedan opened fire, striking him in his head and back, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

He is in critical condition after being transported to St. Francis Hospital, Estrada said.

Police said the incident is possibly gang-related, as the victim is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody.
