Karen Lewis to Visit South Shore for Conversation with Residents

HYDE PARK — Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis will be the special guest for the September Exchange Ideas talk in South Shore.

The monthly event asks public figures and experts to come to the neighborhood for a candid conversation with residents.

Lewis, the leader of the teachers union who is considering a run for mayor, will be the featured guest a 6 p.m. Monday at the Quarry, 2423 E. 75th St.

The event is free and open to the public and is expected to run about two hours.
