CHICAGO — Two men are in stable condition after being shot in Pilsen Friday evening.

Around 8:15 p.m., two men, ages 22 and 19, were standing on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of South Throop Avenue when someone opened fire from a passing car, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

The 22-year-old was struck in his leg and taken to Stroger Hospital; the 19-year-old was also struck in his leg, but was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said.

Police said the shooting was possibly gang related.
