CHICAGO — A man was fatally shot in Back of the Yards Friday night.
Police responded to a call of someone shot about 10:45 p.m., and discovered a man, 36, lying unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 5400 block of South Damen Avenue, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
He suffered from gunshot wounds in his head and thigh, and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Estrada said.
No further information surrounding this shooting was immediately available.
No one is in custody, and Area Central detectives are investigating.
