WICKER PARK —  After more than six years in business, Le Dress, a popular Division Street boutique that specializes in daytime and evening cocktail dresses and is owned by two sisters-in-law, will be closing by the end of September.

Le Dress at 1741 W. Division Sr. is closing on Sept. 28, it was announced on Facebook earlier this week.

The shop's co-owners and sisters-in-law Eva Anderson and Robyn Anderson Baldenegro are holding a final Au Revoir Sale with items marked down to 75 percent off their original price.

"The main reasons for the closing are family related: Eva has two small kids and Robyn is pregnant. So they both want to focus on family. They had several buyers interested in purchasing the store, but unfortunately none of them worked out. Huge bummer," wrote Liz Kores, a spokeswoman for the shop.

Kores said that further markdowns would be taken in the coming weeks until the store finally closed but "shoppers are encouraged to visit early and often for the best selection of items."

And for those seeking fall dresses, Kores said that even new merchandise that arrived would be discounted immediately as it hit the racks.

Furniture and fixtures are also available for sale.

Le Dress, 1741 W. Division St.  Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Wednesday; Friday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Ph: 773-697-9899
