Museum of Science and Industry Offering Free Tickets to Illinois Residents

HYDE PARK — The Museum of Science and Industry will offer free admission to Illinois residents every weekday from Sept. 8-29.

On those days, the museum at 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive will allow Illinois residents to visit free of charge from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The museum also will offer free admission to Illinois residents on Oct. 6-7.

Free admission includes permanent exhibits like the fairy castle and human-sized hamster wheel.

Admission on free days does not include the traveling exhibit "Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives,” Omnimax films, onboard tours of the U-505 submarine or other exhibits that require an extra timed-entry ticket.
