ARMOUR SQUARE — Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say stole parts from a bike parked outside the CTA Red Line 35th Street-Sox station a few hours before the White Sox played at U.S. Cellular Field.

The incident took place just before 4 p.m. on Aug. 18, when police said the man walked up to a bike at the station's 33rd Street entrance, then quickly swiped its bike seat and fender before walking away. The incident occurred about three hours before the White Sox faced the Orioles at 7:10 p.m. that day at U.S. Cellular Field.

Anyone with information is asked to call the CTA's security hotline at 312-745-4443 or security manager Jim Higgins at 773-820-1019.
