CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot while sitting in a car in a parking lot early Saturday in the Near West Side.

Around 1:23 a.m., the man was in the passenger seat of the car with a large group of people in the 100 block of North Hoyne Street when someone shot the man in his arm. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

No one is in custody for the shooting. The man has gang ties, said Pacheco.
