Two Wounded in Englewood Drive-by Shooting Wednesday Night

CHICAGO — A drive-by shooting in Englewood Wednesday night left a 45-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy wounded.

Around 10:10 p.m., the two were having a conversation in the 7000 block of South Morgan Street when shots were fired from a passing car, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

The 45-year-old man was struck in the leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition stabilized. The 17-year-old was struck under the arm and shoulder. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital and was also stable, Greer said.

Police gave no further details.
