LINCOLN SQUARE — The Brown Line will terminate at the Western station this weekend while the CTA performs track maintenance between Rockwell Street and Manor Avenue.

Trains will run according to their regular schedule between Western and the Loop, with shuttle buses replacing rail service for transit riders traveling between Western and the Kimball station on Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to making stops at the Western and Kimball CTA stations, the shuttles will pick up and drop off passengers along Lawrence Avenue at Rockwell, Sacramento and Kedzie, roughly mirroring Brown Line stops.

The service disruption is expected to last from 2 a.m. on Saturday through 4 a.m. Monday.

Residents who live adjacent to the affected area of track should be prepared for noise from maintenance equipment and trucks. There will be night lights in the work zone.
