NORWOOD PARK — The animated flick "Free Birds" will light up the night sky at Norwood Park Friday as part of the Chicago Park District's Movies in the Parks series.

The 2013 film features the voices of Woody Harrelson and Owen Wilson as two turkeys who are forced to team up despite their differences and travel back in time to get turkey off the traditional Thanksgiving menu.

Moviegoers can bring a blanket and a picnic basket to watch the flick.

The schedule for the remainder of the summer series is:

• "Free Birds" at 8 p.m. Friday, Norwood Park, 5801 N. Natoma Ave.
• "The Nut Job" at 8 p.m. Friday, Roberts Square Park, 5200 W. Argyle St.
• "The Lego Movie" at 8 p.m. Aug. 20, Portage Park, 4100 N. Long Ave.
• "Iron Man 3" at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 13, Chopin Park, 3420 N. Long Ave.
