James Brown, 'King of Soul,' to Be Honored at Back Room Tribute Show

CHICAGO — Fans of James Brown will be able to boogie to the King of Soul's music at a Friday event at the Back Room.

The Euphony Band will perform Brown tribute songs, and attendees can dance and sing along. The event is being held during the first weekend of showings for the Brown biopic, "Get on Up." A $12 James Brown-inspired cocktail called Sugar and Spice will be served.

The Euphony Band will play Friday at the Back Room, 937 N. Rush St. Tickets are $20 at the door after 9 p.m. or free before 9 p.m. Advance tickets for $15 are available online.
