CHICAGO — The Illinois Department of Transportation is warning motorists to expect delays on the Stevenson Expressway and Lake Shore Drive due to construction Monday to Thursday.
The lane closures will be in effect 10 a.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Thursday, and include:
• The right lane of northbound Stevenson Expressway from the Cermak Road exit to the southbound Lake Shore Drive ramp;
• The left lane of southbound Lake Shore Drive to the southbound Stevenson Expressway from south of 18th Street to the State Street exit ramp;
• Lanes will be reduced on State Street to the northbound Stevenson Expressway entrance ramp.
Northbound and southbound State Street drivers will be directed to the northbound Lake Shore Drive entrance ramp.
Construction work that was scheduled for Friday to Monday has been canceled.
