ROSELAND — Chicago jazz artists Taylor Moore and Marqueal Jordan will perform Wednesday at Chicago State University as part of its free summer concert series.

The 7 p.m. outdoor concert at the university, 9500 S. King Drive, is held every Wednesday and runs until Sept. 17.

But jazz concerts aren't the only summer events sponsored by the university. At 8 p.m. every Tuesday a movie night is also held outdoors on the school's campus. The 1992 movie "Malcolm X," starring Denzel Washington and Angela Bassett, will be shown July 29. Free movies will be shown until Sept. 9.

If weather does not permit, the event will be held inside the university's Jones Convocation Center. Parking is available for $5, and food and beverages are allowed at the events.
