CHATHAM — Residents of the 6th Ward will be able to discuss their community concerns with Ald. Roderick Sawyer (6th) over a cup of coffee when his "Alderman in Your Area" program kicks off next month.

Every Friday in August, Sawyer, whose ward includes Chatham and portions of Englewood, will set up a satellite office at a local business from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. as a way to "to bring the ward office to residents and give them easier access to me," Sawyer said.

“I believe that it is important that we make access to services convenient to residents," he said.

Sawyer will be at:

• Mather’s More Than A Cafe, 33 E. 83rd St., on Aug. 1

• Flecks Coffee House & Cafe, 343 E. 79th St., on Aug. 8

• Brown Sugar Bakery, 328 E. 75th St., on Aug. 15

• Kusanya Cafe, 825 W. 69th St., on Aug. 22

• St. Columbanus Church, 331 E. 71st St., on Aug. 29
