The two were in a bar in the 4400 block of South Kedzie Avenue around 2:35 a.m. when someone shot both of them, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The 24-year-old man, identified as Richard Valesquez, was shot in his chest and was unresponsive on the scene. The 30-year-old man was shot in the side of his body and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition, Alfaro said.
