CHICAGO — Two 16-year-old boys were wounded in separate shootings in Grand Boulevard Friday morning.

In all, five people were wounded in shootings overnight, police said.

One of the boys is in critical condition after being shot inside Alice Bar-B-Cue, a restaurant at 65 E. 43rd St., at 12:20 a.m. Friday, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

Two gunmen entered the restaurant before opening fire and running out. The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital.

Ten minutes later and less than a mile away, another 16-year-old boy was shot.

He was in an alley in the 400 block of East 45th Place when someone shot him from a passing car and wounded him in his buttocks, Greer said.

The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital where he is in stable condition.

In other shootings:

• In Altgeld Gardens, a 23-year-old man was standing outside in the 600 block of East 133rd Place when he was approached by three men who shot at him, Greer said. He was grazed in his leg in the incident that occurred at 10:55 p.m. Thursday. The man was taken to Roseland Community Hospital where he was listed in good condition.

• Two people were wounded in a South Deering shooting at 10:40 p.m., Greer said. A man and woman, both 35, were on a front porch in the 2200 block of East 100th Street when three gunmen emerged from a gangway and fired at them.

The woman was shot in her back and leg and the man was wounded in his left leg. Both were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where they are in stable condition.
