GOLD COAST — Sample beers from around the country without having to leave Division Street.

Bootleggers, 13 W. Division St., is launching a summer-long "Tap Takeover" series next week. Every Tuesday, a different craft brewery will serve six beers from its own collection, including one each week that's "especially rare and hard to find," reps for the bar said in a statement.

Each "Tap Takeover Tuesday" kicks off at 7 p.m., starting with a "hop head" session in which a visiting brewer will talk about the beers being featured.

Bootleggers' General Manager Josh Kerbis said the new promotion should help align the bar "with today's customers wanting and expecting a better experience."

Four-glass, 24-ounce flights will be available for $18 on takeover nights, and wings from the nearby Mahoney's Pub & Grille made with a featured beer from the Tuesday sampler will be free while supplies last.

The new craft beer series is right at home in the new Bootleggers, which recently wrapped up an interior renovation that included upgrading the furniture and cocktail menu and ditching the back-of-the-bar beer pong table — in favor of "foosball cocktail tables."
