CHICAGO — Six people were shot across the city overnight, including five people wounded in drive-by shootings.

In Englewood, three people were injured in two separate drive-by shootings, among them a 16-year-old girl.

In the most recent shooting, a 19-year-old man was standing on a corner in the 6800 block of South Ashland Avenue when some in a dark sedan fired shots at the man, striking him in his right forearm. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in stable condition, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

Several hours earlier in Englewood, a 16-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man were standing in the 6100 block of South Throop Street when someone fired at them from a dark van. The teenage girl was taken to Holy Cross in stable condition after being hit in her left leg. The man was in critical condition after being hit in the lower back, hip and ear, Sedevic said.

In other shootings:

• Around 10:40 p.m., another drive-by in the 1000 block of West 89th Street in Brainerd left a 19-year-old man in stable condition. Someone in a dark van shot the man in his buttocks while he was standing with a group of men. The man, who police said is a documented gang member, was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital, Sedevic said.

• Around 9:55 p.m. Monday, a 29-year-old man was shot in his right foot while standing on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of West Gladys Avenue in West Garfield Park. The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition. No one is in custody for the shooting, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

• Around 9 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in his leg during a possible drive-by in Greater Grand Crossing. The man was standing in the 800 block of East 74th Street when he felt pain in his leg and realized he was shot. He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
