NORTH CENTER — Pedal through the streets of North Center, Lincoln Square and Ravenswood with Ald. Ameya Pawar, who'll be playing tour guide during his annual 47th Ward bike ride.
The leisurely seven-mile ride — cruising along at a pace of 8-10 miles per hour — will set out from North Center's Town Square, on Belle Plaine between Damen and Lincoln avenues, at 10 a.m. Saturday rain or shine and will return by noon.
Participants should arrive by 9:30 a.m. for a safety check and "rules of the road" talk. Helmets are required.
The tour will highlight various projects in the ward, while also helping riders become more comfortable cycling along city streets.
All ages are welcome to join the ride.
