UPTOWN — Sonic Drive-In's "Two Guys" are heading to Uptown later this month, according to the fast food chain.

T.J. Jagodowski and Peter Grosz, who have starred in Sonic Drive-In commercials for more than a decade,  will attend a "Summer Kick-Off Party" at the 1022 W. Wilson Ave. location on June 21 from noon to 4 p.m.

The party will include food samples, prizes and giveaways.

Jagodowski and Grosz are known for the hidden camera-style Sonic ads that ran from 2002 to 2010. They went on hiatus for two years before returning in 2012.

In one fan favorite, Grosz and Jagodowski are discussing basketball when Grosz raises a tater tot to his mouth only to have Jagodowski violently smack the snack away.

"Rejected! Don't you bring that weak tot action! You go strong to your mouth or you don't go at all!" screams Jagodowski, a comedian and actor who used to write for the "Colbert Report."

Sonic said on its Facebook page that the Two Guys "will be hanging around for some good old-fashioned Sonic Shenanigans" and that fans will have "plenty of photo opportunities."
