CHICAGO — Green Line service between the Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT stations will be halted from 5 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

A free shuttle between stations and free transfer back into the stations will be provided to those affected by the suspension of service.

Service will be suspended to allow crews to do construction work for the new Cermak-McCormick Place station, according to a news release. Further closures are tentatively scheduled for the same time frame on the weekends of July 19-20 and June 26-27.

The Cermak-McCormick Place station is part of $92 million in CTA improvements in the South Loop.
