
CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Englewood Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The shooting happened at 3:42 p.m. near West 69th Street and South Emerald Avenue, police said.
One of the victims was shot in the right arm, and the other in the back, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.
Kenneth Anthony, of the 400 block of West 66th Place, was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Stroger Hospital, fire officials said. He was pronounced dead there at 4:44, p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said. The other victim was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Hospital.

The shootings were the city's first since Thursday night.
