CHICAGO — Three people were wounded in two separate shootings overnight.
The most recent shooting occurred in the Jeffrey Manor neighborhood Thursday night.
Around 11:15 p.m., two men were walking in the 9800 block of South Bensley Avenue when a man approached wearing all black and fired shots, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
A 37-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound in his hip. The second victim, a 16-year-old boy, was at Trinity Hospital in stable condition after being shot in his arm, Gaines said.
Minutes before 7 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was shot during an attempted robbery in Albany Park.
Earlier Thursday, two teens were shot in the Altgeld Garden neighborhood.
