CHICAGO — One person was killed and seven others were wounded in shootings across the city's South and West sides since Monday evening.

In the latest shooting, a 28-year-old man was shot during a robbery in Englewood.

The man was sitting in his car about 12:30 a.m. in the 7300 block of South Aberdeen Street when a gunman approached on foot and demanded money from him, police said.

The 28-year-old handed over what he had, but the gunman still shot at him, grazing the man's head with a bullet, Greer said. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition.

About 11 p.m., two people were shot in the 3500 block of West Ohio Street in East Garfield Park.

A man and a woman were sitting in a van on the block when they heard gunfire and were hit by bullets, police said.

The man, 29, was shot in his leg. The woman, 38, was shot in her ankle. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where they were listed in good condition. Authorities said the injured man was "gang-affiliated."

Earlier Monday evening, about 8:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in his chest in Belmont Cragin. The 20-year-old was in the 5300 block of West Palmer Street when someone inside a passing SUV fired shots, police said.

The man transported himself to Our Lady of Resurrection Medical Center and was later taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition. Authorities said the shooting was possible gang-related.

About 7 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of South Pulaski in West Garfield Park.

The teenager was inside a vehicle when another man got in the vehicle and took out a gun, police said. The two fought, and the teen was shot in his knee. He was taken to Mount Sinai where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Another teenager was shot about 6:20 p.m. Monday in the city's South Chicago neighborhood.

The 17-year-old boy's left foot was grazed by a bullet after a gunman opened fire from a passing blue vehicle, police said. The teen was taken to Trinity Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.

In Englewood, a 29-year-old man was killed and another man was hospitalized after a drive-by shooting.

The 29-year-old, later identified as Jerald Calhoun, was fatally shot in his chest and died at Stroger Hospital. A 35-year-old man who was with Calhoun was shot in his right leg and is good condition, police said.
