CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl shot in in West Pullman was among three people injured by gunfire Thursday afternoon and evening.

The teenage girl was standing on a porch in the 12500 block of South Michigan Avenue around 6:25 p.m. when shots were fired striking her and a 25-year-old man who was a short distance away, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

The girl was struck in her thigh and was in stable condition, Pacheco said. The man was in an unknown condition after being shot in his chest and hands. Both victims were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Pacheco said.

Another man was hospitalized after a shooting Thursday afternoon in Englewood.

Around 3:45 p.m., the 19-year-old man was in the 7000 block of South Sangamon Street when he was shot in his face and leg, said Pacheco.

He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition. The shooting was possibly gang-related, Pacheco said.
