CHICAGO — A truck struck a 61-year-old woman after crashing into a building in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side Friday afternoon, injuring four others.

The truck was part of a multiple-vehicle accident about 2:30 p.m. near East 71st Street and South King Drive, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.

A 61-year-old woman who was inside the Farmers Food Basket store at the time was pinned by a truck after it ran into the building.

A surveillance video shows a woman craning her neck before the truck smashes through the wall, pinning her behind several machines.

The woman was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, Sweeney said.

A Fire Department spokeswoman said four other people were transported to area hospitals following the crash, but none of their injuries were life-threatening.
