Man Charged in Fatal Weekend Stabbing in South Shore

CHICAGO — A man was charged with fatally stabbing one man and wounding two others in a South Shore home Friday night.

David Morris, 25, of the 7800 block of South Bennett Avenue was charged with a count of first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm. He is due in court Monday.

Officers arrived about 7:15 p.m. at a residential building in Morris' block and found three people stabbed, police said.

A 27-year-old man found dead at the scene. He was identified as Jaquinton Walker, of the 6100 block of South Laflin Street in Englewood, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A 41-year-old man was found stabbed in his chest and legs, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and is in critical condition.

A 32-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital where he is in stable condition.
