CHICAGO — South Side shootings wounded at least three men Tuesday night and Wednesday.

A 27-year-old man was shot during a robbery in Chatham about 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

The man was sitting in a parked car in the 800 block of East 82nd Street when a gunman walked up and said he was robbing the man, police said. The gunman took the victim's wallet and fired shots as he ran off, striking the victim in his lower back and grazing him in his head.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in "stable condition," Alfaro said.

Police have a suspect in custody.

In Woodlawn, two men were shot about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Alfaro said.

The men were walking on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of East 67th Street when a red sedan pulled up alongside them. Two gunmen hopped out and opened fire, striking both victims in their lower left legs.

A 37-year-old man was treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center, while a 42-year-old man was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital. Both were listed in "stable condition," Alfaro said.

No one was in custody.
