CHINATOWN — The filming of the "Chicago Fire" television show means that restrictions on parking have been issued for sections of the neighborhood.

According to a flier posted in the neighborhood, the filming takes place on Monday, when cars will be prohibited from parking in the following locations:

  • Both sides of Wentworth Avenue, from 26th Street to 24th Place. This stretch of road, located between the Stevenson and Dan Ryan Expressways, will be fully closed from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Both sides of West 24th Place, from Wentworth to Stewart avenues
  • Both sides of 25th Street, from Wentworth to Princeton Avenues
  • Both sides of Grove Street, from Cermak Road south to 2240 S. Grove. St.

The restrictions will be lifted at 11 p.m.

A representative from the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce said the scene getting filmed Monday is for "Chicago Fire," NBC's popular firefighting drama that's been shot across the city.
