CHICAGO — Police are seeking a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 69-year-old woman near the Midway Orange Line stop Friday afternoon.
The woman was returning from work around 4:15 Friday when she got off an Orange Line train at Midway and walked to her vehicle, which was parked in a secure lot, police said.
That's when she was forced into the vehicle by a man armed with a handgun. He proceeded to sexually assault her and then robbed her of money, a cellphone and an ATM card.
Police said he then forced the woman to accompany him as he drove to several locations and made withdrawals from her back account. The vehicle was later abandoned on the West Side, police said.
The suspected is described as a black man, 20 years old, 5-foot-6, weighing 140 to 150 pounds.
