CHICAGO — A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head in Chatham Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. in the 8200 block of South Champlain Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman, citing preliminary information.

The victim is in his mid-20s and was listed in critical condition at Stroger Hospital, Sedevic said Tuesday morning.

No further information was available.
