EDGEWATER — Not even dying — twice — could keep you away from Parlour on Clark this Saturday.
The queer-friendly bar, 6341 N. Clark St., will present "The Bronze: The Ultimate Buffy Halloween Dance Party" — late night revelry complete with DJs, live performances, drink specials and a runway costume contest.
Northern Lights — the popular LGBT-centric performance and dance party — will be celebrating its third and final anniversary Saturday, organizers said. "The Bronze" will double as a farewell party for co-founder Erik Roldan, who is retiring from being a DJ.
"Buffy was a queer, feminist, magical show — all the things Northern Lights represents," Roldan said, adding that he's happy to retire at a party honoring "one of the best shows television ever produced."
The party — which was named for the all-ages Sunnydale bar on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" — kicks off at 11 p.m. and runs until 3 a.m. Organizers suggest a $5 donation to help cover operating costs.
Performers include Stevie Hnilicka, Holly Deck and Nicole Garneau. The Qu — a Chicago-based LGBT news and entertainment site — is co-hosting.
